About Us

History
JCA was founded as a ministry of Bible Baptist Church in 1978 with less than 100 students. Over 37 years later, JCA is still going strong with over 270 students attending in grades K2 through 12th.

Objectives
Deuteronomy 6:5-7 reads, “And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart and thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children. . .”

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Attendance at Jacksonville Christian Academy is a privilege and not a right. The goals of this academy are not to reform, but to train Christian youth of any ability in the highest principles of academic excellence, Christian leadership, self-discipline, individual responsibility, personal integrity, and good citizenship. The school stands without apology for the old-time Gospel and the highest standards for morality and Christian behavior.

Accreditation
Accreditation of a private Christian school is not necessary for a graduate of the school to enroll in a college or university. Registrars of such institutions are interested in the academic merits of individual students, not in the name of their school of graduation. Thus, they evaluate the academic aptitude of each applicant through nationally standardized tests. Jacksonville Christian Academy does not need, nor does it seek, accreditation by any outside educational institution. For 37 years, we have enjoyed great success at providing the highest quality academic program without public accreditation. We are, however, a member of the American Association of Christian Schools (AACS), and the Arkansas Christian School Association (ACSA).

Course of Study
Jacksonville Christian Academy offers a College Preparatory Diploma. The curriculum is provided through A Beka Book.

Academic Philosophy
The academic goal of JCA is to give a Bible-based, foundational education for all students that is Excellent, Advanced and Christian. Curriculum is college-prep, and core classes needed for graduation will be offered, as well as many beneficial elective classes. Our graduates finish with more than the required number of credits set forth by the Arkansas Department of Education. JCA offers assistance with finding appropriate scholarship opportunities, and can help search out, or organize a search for college scholarships and scholastic programs. In addition, we will offer whatever assistance we can through recommendations, contact information, and transcripts. It is our pleasure to help in any way possible.
